How we handle personal information
This notice explains how Stellar Talent collects and uses personal information, and the rights you have. It is provided in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
Who we are
What information we hold, and where it comes from
We build a professional profile of candidates for senior and executive roles. The information comes from your public professional profile, which we access through the platform's own export feature. It includes your name, career history, education, skills, and role details. We also generate a strengths-based assessment of your professional profile.
We do not collect special personal information such as race or ethnic origin, and we do not hold adverse predictions about you.
Candidates who apply to advertised roles. Where you apply to a role we have advertised (for example on PNet), we collect the personal information in your application and CV directly from you, with your consent given at the point of application. We process it to assess you for that role, may share it with our client for the vacancy, and retain it in our talent database for up to 24 months to consider you for similar future opportunities. You may ask us to consider you only for the role you applied to, and you may withdraw consent, access, correct, object to, or delete your information at any time by contacting privacy@stellar.africa.
